St Anthony of Padua Church in Sokółka

The Church is not an old one (built in the 19th century) but it is really beautiful.
Now it is famous because of the Eucharistic miracle that happened there in 2008.

Heals from deadly diseases, heals ancient wounds, and even causes that love returns to human hearts.
The Host from the church of St. Antoni in Sokółka works wonders.

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give is my flesh
for the life of the world” (John 6:51).

Thank you so much!

It was not easy to find the right spot and angle to get it right.
The lens was not wide enough ;)
I manged better with a pinhole:

I agree that this mixture of classicism and antiquity is nice and interesting. Above all, perhaps, captured from this flattering angle :-) A nice frame, really.

Thank you, Eric!
I frequently find shooting churches rather challenging.
Yards are usually small, and there are many trees around.
At least it is like that in Poland ;)

It is unfortunately often the case everywhere, Marta. Not to mention the car parks that often adjoin cathedrals and create disastrous anachronisms! :-)

Nice archeture portrait with blue sky. The light here is beautiful and the colors creamy like a Kodak film print. Perfect shadow light as well.

Marta Wojtkowska replied to Frank J Casella:

Angles of shadows reveal that the shot was taken almost at noon.
My (brand new then) NX10 worked so well that I am still surprised how it was possible ;)
Thank you!

Sometime it's even worse!
There is a parking lot with free space but people have to park as close to an entrance as possible.
I observed it many times and it was particularly annoying when I visited Drohiczyn.
Just imagine: most beautiful church ((former Benedictine abbey).
A big empty parking lot (only my car there), not obstructing the view at all.
And two obnoxious vehicles parked just at the main entrance to the church itself.
I had to go for this view to keep them out of frame:
