Those really were the days - I well remember paying this price!

I have no idea how old the pump is but it would have been antique even in the late 60s.

I allowed myself £5 per week housekeeping, including rent, and we ate steak at least once a week when I got married in ‘70. Got tripped up on decimalisation week tho’ - paid 4 bob for a cauliflower when I mis-converted!
