The epitome of the English countryside. We might get out today to visit a bkuebell wood, but the weather doesn't look very promising at the moment.

I was lucky with the weather that morning Amelia...........it clouded over in the afternoon and the wind picked up, but I was back indoors well before that!

Thank you Güni.........I'm lucky to have these woods pretty close to where I live and also that I know where the bluebells nearly always grow. I visited here a few weeks back but I was too early ........this time I was much more successful.

Mon chien serait heureux de courir dans cet herbage coloré. En ce moment partout en France, tous les chiens doivent être tenus en laisse, même dans les forêts. Et ce, jusqu'à la fin du mois de juin. Cette règlementation qui date des années 1950 (et dont on ne parlai plus) est destinée à protéger les oiseaux qui nichent. Ça me fait sourire car les chasseurs ont massacrés la plupart des oiseaux qui vivaient dans la forêt où je promène mon chien quotidiennement. Ils ont même tué le dernier couple de coucous qui nichaient ici. Pour le plaisir car je ne vois qui mange du coucou ? Donc, mon chien est libre de courir dans sa forêt. Il tente bien d'attraper de temps en temps un écureuil, mais le rongeur est toujours plus rapide. Même malchance pour les chevreuils ou les sangliers. Une fois, il a attrapé une petite souris que j'ai pu sauver. Mon chien de chasse ne chasse finalement rien. Et c'est tant mieux

Three great bluebell captures here. We saw some at Fountains the other week but this is far more intense. Very well done.
