Dried Leaves

I picked these leaves up in our local park a month or so ago and put them between two sheets of paper inside a heavy book to flatten them out. I thought they'd make a nice photo and I hope you think so too. I'm not sure of the type of tree these are from, but probably a variety of Maple.

Taken indoors, white card as a background and flash bounced off the ceiling. Best viewed large. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful photo, Keith. The background really sets off the leaves. I suspect they may actually be Liquidambar styraciflua or sweet-gum.

Keith Burton replied to Ronald Losure:

You could be right Ronald, but Maple are more common in our streets and parks, which is where my guess came from.

They certainly do make a nice picture Keith. It brings back happy memories from when my two girls used to press flowers and leaves.

i always forget to flatten the leaves i get - good for you to actually follow through and then to do the set up that shows them off so well.
