Mudflats at Dusk

A view over the mudflats in Chichester Harbour looking towards some houses on the outskirts of Bosham, West Sussex.

Please view large for best effect.

There is a wider view in the PiP. Thanks for looking.

A fabulous image Keith! I love the warm colours in the sky and you've even captured a bird in flight! The cottages look so cosy too. The fence breaks the picture beautifully, showing that the rule of thirds really works very well. Your PiP is also superb. I especially like the reflected warm colours of the sky in the water! Is that the same fence as in the main shot?

Have a good Tuesday Keith.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thanks Rosa..........glad you like it. Yes the same "fence" but I'm not sure what those posts are there for. One lady I spoke to suggested they may have been to hold up fishing nets at some stage, but she didn't know for sure.

Two splendidly evocatively low light images Keith. The PiP especially draws me in.

I think I am getting to know this area Keith. Very nice indeed and not a hint of snow (pity!).

OH MY, what a sight! Such lovely, warm colors to enjoy in the sky...looking at full view really shows the magic of this picture though, with the pilings marching along and birds hanging out in the mud beyond. The buildings in the background are very nice to look at as well. A serene image for sure.

My top pick today though, without question, is your inset though--it's even MORE FANTASTIC!!! For me, that composition with the silvery water pulling us to the bay, the line of houses along the back, the sunset and clouds in many tones...oh WOW, that's just outstanding!! :) Love the main picture too, but this inset has it all and a bag of chips! :) WELL DONE!!

P.S. Your comments have really been making me glow, I'm all a-flutter! :) *big hug and a peck on the cheek*
