I thought this was an anemone or jellyfish from first glance at the thumbnail. WOOT is that spectacular! The details are just GOBSMACKING! :D Love the angle, love the richness of colors, the fine, exquisite details. How dear to me poppies are and this picture is PERFECTION. Mother Nature has created such loveliness for us. Aren't poppies the BEST? No matter what stage, they are incredibly photogenic. This is stunning!!

LOL, in regards to your comment about my bikes and bridge shot, Glad you managed to fit in a bike ride after your drive to the new camp site and that it was so enjoyable. I'm still smiling after reading about your attempts to cycle in soft sand - it sounded like wheely good fun :-)) (Sorry)!...I couldn't help but giggle furiously and Steve wanted to know what the silliness was about...he most definitely groaned in pained misery when he heard your comment and told me to tell you that you couldn't have been too sorry! :D :D

Glad you liked my pictures...it's such fun to share some scenics that are a little like yours! :)

You have a very good neighbour Keith :) ....I love the vast red petals of the Oriental poppy and the inside is just as beautiful, as your superb picture shows. They are a lovely addition to a garden. I would like some myself.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thanks Rosa..............I shall be grabbing some seeds from this one in due course! My immediate neighbours are quite used to me wandering round their front gardens taking flower and insect photos. I have permission to do so of course, but I suspect they think I'm a bit odd..........and they may be right :-))
