Firefall

Tonight's sunset. Most likely caused by a fire in the distance. (Almost SOOC. I just adjusted the exposure.)

Beautiful colours here Karen and I love the scene with the silhouettes of the trees and the landscape beyond. Great music to go with it. I love it. I hope the fire was soon under control. There was a particularly bad fire here on Saddleworth Moor back in the summer that didn't burn out for three weeks. The atmosphere, even miles away was hazy.

Karen's Place replied to Ecobird:

Thank you, Carol. It seems there are fires each summer but this year is particularly bad in certain areas. Thankfully it's not close but it's still heartbreaking.

Terrible when fires cause so much destruction. The colours here are amazing and it's a beautifully composed photo, Karen. Perfect use of the silhouettes. And, a perfectly matched choice of music too. Not heard this before...liking it very much!

Thank you for posting to Sight and Sound : Pictures & Music

Thanks so much, Roger.

It's so sad and yet so beautiful it makes my brain hurt to think about it. :(

Very beautiful colours, though the reason for them is alarming! I hope the fires didn't get to where you live.
