This Kit Cat clock is in my kitchen. His eyes and tail move from side to side. I used a 4-second exposure at f3.2 in Shutter Priority mode. I like how his eyes turned out.
I suggest trying to do the same with self portraits. Not the tail though! But moving the eyes from side to side. Depending on exposure and movement, you either get gray lizard eyes or eyes with the cat like narrow ovals ;-)
I like how this turned out!; I love the result on the eyes and tail, Karen! My husband's grandmother had one of these clocks when he was a boy, and I surprised him with one for Christmas about 25 years ago.
