Cold Christmas. 347/366

A very slow start as it was dark with rain and low cloud. Did my Saturday chores and then began on the Christmas cards. Beaky came, sat on the back of a garden chair and peered at me through the window. When I fetched my camera the ingrate turned his back.
Discovered I didn't have enough cards and no padded bags for calendars. Hardly any milk left either. What a twit ! Took myself to the Pillars to find the car park packed in spite of the gloom and rain and found I hadn't brought my handbag !
Didn't have a photo either so in despair I photographed solar panels in the rain.
Came back to the village and checked to see if the village shop had Christmas cards or padded bags. They didn't but I did get a more festive photo than wet solar panels.
Came home and finished writing the cards I had. There's enough milk to last till tomorrow if I'm careful. So cross with myself I broke out on wine and lentil crisps.

What a lovely Christmas window Jean. Something I hope to see more of next Christmas. The sleigh and the animals look delightfully old fashioned.

Schitterende opname, Jean, zeer sfeervol!
Maar wat is een twit, ?
Deepl geeft een vertaling van een woord , dat jij nooit zou gebruiken, laat staan hier bij ip op schrijven.
Vriendelijke groeten en een gezond en prettig weekend.

Jean replied to Frans Schols:

When you call a person a twit you are saying they are silly which is what I felt I'd been. It's usually used in a fairly light hearted way.

Frans Schols replied to Jean:

Hartelijk bedankt, voor de vertaling, Jean.
Jouw vertaling is veel beter dan '' Deepl''.
Vriendelijke groeten, Frans.
