Only 50 were made.

Was asked to help bring it back from 550 km away, North Country.
Must add, it was raining each minute of that trip and the noise of the wind was awful.
For as long as you keep above 90 km/hour it doesn't rain inside . . .
But it was ok, "A chacun sa vérité", selon Pirandello.
Something to remember.

This puzzles me just a bit! North Country is the name of a village near me now in Cornwall!
I once drove a similar-looking white Golf Cabriolet a long time ago. It came out of the back end of a deal for a Bentley for the boss. I had no choice but to accept and it wasn't me at all! Far too showy, as this would be too but it'a fine looking vehicle!

J. Gafarot replied to Andy Rodker:

This one is a Citroen AX cabriolet with a 1400 cc engine of around 80HP.
It seems it was not a big success, only 50 were made, anyway it was in "barn condition" until it was found and repaired but didn't turn its engine for the last 18 years . . .
After belts, oils, and basic fluid changes I was very much affraid of its road performance putting it through that distance under heavy rain, but apart from the loud wind noise and "some drops" all went well...

Grijó
Grijó is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, with an area of 8.17 km² and 371 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 45.4 inhab/km². Until August 22, 2003, it was known as Grijó de Vale Benfeito.

The parish of Grijó appears in 1839 linked to the region of Bragança, in 1852 to the region of Chacim and to the municipality of Cortiços, until its extinction in 1853, when it becomes dependent on the region and council of Macedo de Cavaleiros.

A fair related to the manufacture and industry of silk was held here and masons and stonemasons were famous here. The Serra de Bornes provided the raw material for a cooperage industry that flourished in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Das wr bei Regen sicher nicht angenehm. Aber gut, Regen ist nur Wasser und man wird ja wieder trocken. Aber ich glaube so eine Tour vergißt man sicher nicht.

J. Gafarot replied to LotharW:

You are quite right dear Lothar.
And also the noise of the wind hour after hour was too great . . .
