Yes, they leave in us marks we will never forget, this is my last one, he is 6 years old and It seems I will not have the envy or the health to start a "new" one...
Cheers Lothar, enjoy the souvenirs.
Yes Diana, he is a sheperd dog from Castro Laboreiro, the true North of the country and there they go to the mountains every morning, alone with their cattle only returning to the village at the end of the day. They sleep with the cattle. Mine is outside all night, he refuses to sleep inside.
They win against any wolf but are not suited to be company animals, every day like now, I come back from a small tour in the pine trees around home with him, it is still dark outside and it was a short walk, only 3000 steps smart phone count. When we go to Guincho, like in the picture, it is 6000 steps but for that it takes the car and people jogging around.
There are few of them left only 500 registered, and only two owners clubs, London and New York apart here. I will try to find one picture with one alone and his nine cows, I do have one or two in the North Country Album.
I have not heard of that breed...how very, very interesting indeed. What a helpful and useful breed of dog. I am fascinated! So do you own his 9 cows? I will look in your North Country album.
We have just returned to our region after 9 weeks in the centre of Australia, like vagabonds in our small caravan. We still do not have a house, so are staying on the small farm of friends. I have a little more internet so I can return to Ipernity! So good to see you again....
Um abraço...e obrigada
