Uninvited Houseguest

I had a surprise visitor a few moments ago - this four-foot long snake. I donned gloves and a long broom handle and wrestled him outside and hopefully away from my house. He was uninvited, of course.

I don't know what kind he is, maybe someone can recognize the species.

Merci! I guess it doesn't matter what kind of snake it was. I put him out of the house yesterday, and today he was back inside my house. I had to take him back out and this time I had to kill him. I hated to do it, but I can't have a snake running around in my house. He seemed too possesive of my house - he must have thought it was his house.

Wow! I've never seen a wild snake over here in England. We do get them, but usually deep in the countryside. Can't blame you for despatching him, especially if you don't know if he's dangerous or not. I'd have had to do the same.
