Pre Storm Light! pip
A familiar location but a change in weather as the low winter sun is about to be replaced by a storm.
Out in the bay the tide has turned and has started its inward journey, so the few hardy souls on the beach will need to leave before the arrival of the storm or the tide,
On the right of the image is St Andrews Church. Of medieval origins, the church is a grade I listed building, well known for its leaning tower, Apparently if a plumb line is dropped from the north side of the 78ft tower it would fall 3 feet away from the building, See pip,
Burnham Pier is the shortest in England,
Centre of the image is the Higher 98ft (30 m) Lighthouse which is a Grade II listed building. However, it is no longer functional as a lighthouse.
The slipway which crosses the image is used by RNLI Lifeboats, and the BARB Rescue Hover crafts for launch and retrieval
In 16.9 so I recommend a large view

The lighthouse really pops in the darkness. Thanks for the interesting background information too.

Jolie vue de cette église avec son originalité bien visible par rapport à la maison et au poteau. Je souhaite que ce ne soit pas grave pour cet édifice ainsi que son entourage !
Bonne fin de semaine, Roger, HFF !
