The church of St Mary the virgin is the towns oldest building, built in the early English style it is known that the tower was complete in the early 1300s and work to add the spire started in 1367.

It was taken as a slide and converted to a digital image a few years ago and only came to light while I have been having my annual winter image tidy up,
