The remains of Castle Moil (Caisteal Maol) sits on a headland above the village of Kyleakin, Isle of Skye, It looks across the strait of Kyle Akin to the larger village at Kyle of Lochalsh on mainland Scotland..
Large for detail please.
Castle Moil was probably built before the tenth century by Norwegian forces who utilised the sheltered waters around the Isle of Skye as safe harbours for their warships, at the time when they vied for control of Western Scotland.
