Far from the noisy downtown !

It looks like a fence in decay or a fence's attempt ?

John FitzGerald replied to Léopold:

I thought it might be a property demarcation, Léo, but don't really know.

Lovely autumn tree colours and this looks like a new building development.

John FitzGerald replied to tiabunna:

It was a new development at the time, George. The open land is now probably a new development, too

Not a single traffic sign, fire hydrant, overhead power line or advertising sign in sight!

Who are you and what have you done with John?

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

It was freaking me out, Keith. I haven't been back there since.

That just reminded me of staying at my aunt's in Norfolk when I was a young fellow. I couldn't get to sleep and finally realized it was because it was so quiet. No sirens, no streetcar gongs, it was as if the whole world had packed up and moved away.
