Ten Thousand Buddhas Stupa, Niagara Falls, Ontario

More Niagara Falls today. This is the World Peace Ten Thousand Buddhas Sarira Stupa Temple, or Cham Shan Temple, in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It is 6 km/4 mi downriver from the Falls, but still within the city.

More about the temple here:

I posted a similar view on Flickr years ago, but this is a different shot. I tried eliminating all the negative space here but decided I lliked it this way.

An interesting building. I can see why they chose that spot to build it.

I found that interesting, too, Jean. Build on the beauty that's already there.

I like the "negative" space. Remember, Buddhism is all about spaciousness ... ;-)

John FitzGerald replied to Sarah P.:

Thanks, Sarah. I duckduckgoed Buddhism and spaciousness and found some interesting reading, so thanks for that, too. Buddhism seems to provide a good guide to photography.

Never knew this existed. You did capture the right ambience - the people are perfect for the space, too. Their body language adds a lot.

John FitzGerald replied to rdhinmn:

Thanks, Bob. I choe this photo over the one I'd used before because the body language was more interesting.
