One thing that interests me about cities, Jean, at least Canadian ones, is that they are big sets of directions. Lights and signs tell you when to go, when to stop, where to walk and drive, etc. Here the signs even tell you not only that there's danger but also what the danger is. Like an obstacle course with signals replacing officers.
Fences, men digging up the pavements, more fences, bollards, hi-vis jackets, arrows, danger signs..............I think the sign in the background sums it up John..........the one that says "Next to Normal".
One of the few remaining national differences in design I guess, kiiti. I think I'll have a look for photos of Chinese restaurants by city. Thanks for the idea.
Is Toronto always under construction, or do you search out construction sites to photograph? Ah, I see that your comment to Keith answers my question. Another fine one!

It does all hang together well. But the fence would have worked for Friday.

The Chinese restaurant in my country had a slightly different tendency to design.
Recently, the age of Chinese food oil is hard...
