This is impressive. Perhaps it is a temple to some modern deity, or conceivably of greater antiquity. The light is nice and the shapes are arresting.

John FitzGerald replied to The Limbo Connection:

Thanks, TLC. I could have looked inside but didn't for some reason. Perhaps I was afraid a wild animal was inside.

Amazing...how do you do it John??

John FitzGerald replied to Denis Croissant:

Thanks, Denis. This was just sitting there crying out for its picture to be taken. I suppose the key is that I was in an alley at the time. Lots of things in alleys you don't see elsewhere.

Fascinating geometry. The sort of th8ing one would expect to see in the attic of a cathedral. If cathedrals have attics.

John FitzGerald replied to rdhinmn:

Thanks, Bob. I wonder what cathedrals would keep in their attics -- but I guess the crypt, treasury, and ossuary are the ecclesiastical equivalents of the attic.

The crisscrossing of the shapes together with the light and shade is beautiful. You've excelled yourself.

Thank you very much, Jean.

Makes me think of Notre-Dame (again), something about the structure brings to mind empty bones

John FitzGerald replied to Sarah P.:

French cathedrals tend to be tall, too. This should have reminded me of the Allen Lambert Galleria here, so thanks for jogging my memory.
