A festival of orange! I like the way the construction sign is cut off to echo the arrow on the middle sign. And then there are all the pointy cones telling the eye to move up. If one just thinks of the orange, there is a lot more composition in this than one would think.

Thank you very much, Bob. I tried some closer shots but of course lost the leading lines.

You have a good eye John, with a knack for making order from apparently chaotic looking scenes (and there seem to be a lot of them in the streets of Toronto).

There's a plethora of fences and orange coloured signs and cones, but not much sign of anyone doing anything except staring. I love that incongruous "Hands off Venezuala" sign..!!

John FitzGerald replied to Keith Burton:

Thank you very much. Keith. These lads were doing something mysterious with the sewer. Feeding the alligators maybe.

I think of Toronto as the orange city. Like the touches of yellow.

John FitzGerald replied to Jean:

Thanks, Jean. The condo boom here and all the roadwork add a lot of colour to the predominantly grey and brown buildings. Yellow and lime green have now become popular as safety colours, which has helped, too.
