Quincy Jones: Soul bossa nova - 1962, Mercury Records (composed in 20mn :) www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5ALPzS0QfQ
Hi Eric. Not sure what happened with the link but I got too much of some rubbish song and nothing of Quincy Jones. A pity as 1) I didn't know he was recording in 62 and 2) I would have liked to hear his version of Bossa nova! Is the problem perhaps that I have never got on with Deever (or whatever it's called)?
My dear Andy, deezer requires a subscription - so it is reserved for VIPs who are willing to pay :-)
(Just between us, I still benefit today from a free account subscribed before the unbridled marketing of this site...). For the others, I always try to provide a (free) youtube link that allows, with an extra click, to access the same musical illustration I chose. I'm sure you'll like it here (see the link above)
Your interest honours me, Andy, and I thank you in advance!
As for Quicy Jones, he was more of a trailblazer than his contribution to the success of "Thriller" - by whom you know - would suggest ;-)
