There is a small Bay leaf tree in the Garden where a pair of blackbirds have built a nest, the Foliage is quiet dense but I was able to peer in to see the female sitting on the nest, I assume this is the male bringing her some food. I will leave it alone now but a bit disappointed that I will not be able to get the camera in to take a shot. Unfortunately the bush is only about 2 mtrs tall and next to a boundary fence so I guess it won't be long before the neighbours cats find it.

Nice shot. The blackbirds are very busy in our garden. one male we see has very little colour to its beak while others are very like this one

Oh I hope the neighbours cat keeps away Maurice! There is a bush in my garden that often has blackbirds nesting in, but I have not seen any activity yet. My next fave bird after the Robin! I love their song too.....A beautiful picture.

A beautiful crisp shot. I know what you mean about cats. Much as I love them I hate the way they go for birds.

A great capture Maurice. We too generally have blackbird nest in our big Laurel tree here but in the last two years magpies have swept down and totally destroyed the eggs and chicks. The blackbirds (at least two pair) are still in the garden here but whether they have nested I cannot answer yet. Keep them coming.~ Herb
