Blue Bus ULS334T in Huddersfield – 12 October 1995 (291-13)

Thursday 12 October 1995 – Blue Bus of Horwich near Bolton ULS334T, an Alexander Y type bodied Leyland Leopard seen chugging through Huddersfield bus station. It had been new to Alexander (Midland) in Scotland as their MPE334 in April 1979.

Whilst not the oldest of buses found operating services on de-regulated bus services in Britain it helped personify the poor quality often to be found.

Blue Bus moved in on Huddersfield (note a second of their buses in the background) which resulted in the incumbent Yorkshire Rider then introducing a host of new buses on their services in retaliation.
