Monday 4 January 2010 (1323) – Ron W. Dew and Son Limited of Somersham operates the Cambridgeshire County Council supported service 106 from Ely to Cottenham and Rampton, a service I once drove on when Burtons operated the service. It was one of my favourites.

Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart BU52 ELY stands in Market Street, Ely about to work the 1328 service to Rampton via Witcham, Haddenham, Aldreth, Wilburton and Cottenham. The electronic destination screen scrolls through different displays to show the various villages on the route and at this moment was showing Rampton via Witcham. The registration number of the bus is BU52 ELY with characters cannily spaced to read ‘Bus to Ely’. (www.dews-coaches.com).
