Heute besuchte ich ein fränkisches Naturschutzgebiet, in dem zur Zeit verschiedene Orchideen blühen. Im Bild die auffällige daumennagelgroße Blüte der
Spinnen-Ragwurz (Ophrys sphegodes), von der man weiß, dass der Duftstoff der Blüte fast gleich ist mit dem Sexuallockstoff der bestäubenden Sandbiene (Andrena nigroaenea). Man kann sich nur wundern.
Im PiP ist eine Albino-Variante der Spinnenragwurz zu sehen, die in der Nähe des im Hauptbild gezeigten Exemplars stand. Man findet sie nur ganz gelegentlich.

Today I visited a Franconian nature reserve where various orchids are currently blooming. In the photo, the conspicuous thumbnail-sized flower of the
spider orchid (Ophrys sphegodes), of which the scent of the flower is known to be almost the same as the sex pheromone of the pollinating sand bee (Andrena nigroaenea). One can only wonder.
The PiP shows an albino variant of the spider orchid that was close to the specimen shown in the main image. You only find them very occasionally.
