Cycling from Bordeaux Vineyards to the Atlantic Coast /Tours

Cathedral of Tours
The stained glass windows represent a remarkable part of the cathedral. 15 magnificent windows were installed in the apse between 1265 and 1270. The stained-glass windows tell legends of saints, show the creation of the world, the Passion of Christ and represent the bishops of Tours. The rose windows of the façades date from the 15th century, those of the transept from the 14th century.

Wow, ich würde gerne die Fenster von innen sehen - sie sind unglaublich und denken, sie sind so alt. Was für eine wunderbare Geschichte von dem, was die Fenster zeigen.

Excellent colours that complement the stonework -- that is, they make it easier to appreciate.

I have been there and they are impressive, they were the way to tell stories to the people, a little like our comics....
