We would like to clarify the following regarding Demetrios Chryssikos:
The purpose of ipernity is to provide a website for its registered members to upload, store and present their own photos, videos and other files for which the members have sole copyright, and to write blogs to share this content publicly, or optionally just privately with family and friends. This is stated in the Terms of Use, which each member accepts upon registration. Moreover it is widely explained in our Guide of good conduct.
In the context of blogs or to explain one's own works, it is of course permitted to quote or link to publicly available content on the internet, but never without correct and complete citation of the source and not as the main purpose of an account.
In the account of member Demetrios Chryssikos, however, there are hundreds of pieces of content that quite obviously cannot be his own creations, and whose origin is not correctly stated.
According to the applicable laws, this is the sole responsibility of the member. However, since we as operators have been made aware of the ongoing copyright infringements, we have a joint legal responsibility if we do not intervene. We have therefore asked the member to either remove the questionable content or to provide the correct source information. As soon as this has been done, we will of course release the account again.

Although the creator of the sculpture is mentioned, the photographer who took the picture is not. In addition, the source reference is missing, where the original photo can be found on the internet and from which it can be seen that it may indeed be freely reproduced. The citation rules of Creative Commons are violated.
There are hundreds of such violations. We are very sorry that the member does not realise that such behaviour is illegitimate and that we are not permitted to accept it.
