Taken for 'The Sunday Challenge': "Smell"

This is the local coffee roasting plant, sadly they weren't roasting when I took the image, but when they do the smell is wonderful and drifts for a very long way around the area.

Two years ago to the day before this photo was taken the first cases of covid in our town were recorded in staff at the plant who were visiting from Italy.

WOW. what memories. Great image. There was a coffee house I used to walk past in my early working days and it was a wonderful aroma. Sadly, for me,I prefer the smell to the taste. I don't mind the taste but, after the smell, it disappoints. And after all this time, my daughter had a trip to London last weekend to an exhibition and took COVID back to her house. Im grateful for the vaccinations she has had.

Oh not the kind of souvenir one wants to take home, hope she is doing alright. Yes good that she has had the vaccinations!

Fresh roasted coffee smell is a very appealing motivation to put the coffee machine on !

And a nice industrial view.

Love the smell of coffee but can't drink a lot of it for some reason. :( There is a roasting plant just our of town and when you drive by when they are roasting, it is very tempting to stop in and buy some.

I know that smell very well, I lived a year near such a roasting plant. It all comes back with your story. It appears we all have a smell memory somewhere.
