Mating Pardosa amentata

A mating pair of Pardosa amentata, the male, who is on top, is transferring sperm from his palps to the females epigyne. The female will then store the sperm until it is required to fertilise her eggs. This is only the second time I tried video recording. Video was taken at Shrewsbury, Shropshire on 22nd April 2021.

Thank you * ઇઉ *, I don't usually think to try recording video, I am pleased I did on this occasion, never thought I would manage to capture such an intimate moment.
