Tropaeolum beuthii ?

Tropaeolum beuthii I think, blooming happily in my garden room, a welcome splash of colour in December.

It does look like a type of trumpet vine ... I think!
But I've only ever seen them flower in the hottest days of summer!
Welcome nonetheless, as you say!

Adrian Jones replied to Andy Rodker:

Thanks Andy, this one is summer dormant and only appears as the days shorten, it has normally died down again before the summer starts.

C'est très possible , ou Tropaeolum brachyceras ?
6 years ago ( translate )

Adrian Jones replied to neira-Dan:

Thanks neira-Dan, T. brachyceras is the other possible id for it, it may even be a hybrid. I cannot remember what it was purchased as, pretty sure it was a species rather than a hybrid though.

Adrian Jones replied to ROL/Photo:

Thanks Rol, very much appreciated. I think T. minus may have its leaves entire rather then divided, palmate fashion is this one does, but to be truthful I'm not at all sure..
