Reminds me of me a bit. I go out shopping and think to myself, now, do I have pens, do I have this and that, etc. So I make sure and buy another pen. I think I have the same number as you and of one particular type only.
(I don't do this with any other object!)

Oh, this is one of three pen and pencil holders in my work area... though the others mostly have things like magic markers and pens I've picked up at hotels and pencils. Most of those are probably safe from being used for anything. But they're there if I need them...
