I liked Marseille what more can I say
it was very windy and a bit cold that day
parle vous francais I was asked at the time
what could I say, was no, a crime ;-)
a shake of the head but not from me
it became soon very clear to see
no parle vous francais and no english too
oh my goodness what was I to do ... ;-)
I smiled I smiled as I knew that I should
I tried very hard but it was no good
but . . . I liked Marseille what more can I say
to return one day I will if I may
bonjour and a smile will help I am sure
I have happy memories of my trip ashore

I did love Marseille ... and to see the person
in your picture stood looking and soaking in
the area brings back memories ... ;-)
and I love your sky and oh I remember all
the lovely reflections of the yachts in the
marina !
perhaps standing and thinking maybe
now that I'm leaving what was missed by me
the university is so fine
reflections in the harbour or a glass of wine
the view from on high just has to be seen
then there are all the bits in between
the drive here and the return . . .
showed very old buildings but had not time to learn
all about everything this is true . . .
but it's leaving fine memories and that's the clue
to return and take more time to look round
finding those places not before found . . .
