SC49 -Bridge
One from the recent archives, I couldn't do much this week due to summer flu. I will slowly catch up in the next days....
The port City of Hamburg has nearly 2500 bridges, many more than Venice (ca. 400).
The ones in the photo are in Speicherstadt (
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speicherstadt ) with its old warehouses that stand on timber pile foundations. Speicherstadt and the inner city of Hamburg are criss-crossed by so called Fleets (tidal canals), hence the vast number of bridges.

It's a great place though as you can see they are doing a lot of repairs at the moment- the waves caused by the many tourist barges have damaged the foundations...
