Der denkmalgeschützte viktorianische Bahnhof von Grange-over-Sands wurde 1864 vom Architekten E.G. Paley entworfen und in den 1990ern umfassend restauriert. Grange-over-Sands ist ein Luftkurort im Süden des Lake District, der vor allem im 19. Jh sehr beliebt war, und liegt an der für ihren Treibsand berüchtigten Morecambe Bay.

Herzlichen Dank, Udo! Hier sind wir diesmal nicht Zug gefahren, es ist eine reguläre Strecke: Vor Jahren bin ich mal dort gefahren, man braucht praktisch den ganzen Tag, die Halbinsel zu umrunden, ist aber landschaftlich lohnend!

Thank you so much, Amelia! They are indeed, I remember man of them from my Interrailer days. They used to have competitions for the best flower decorations, one year Crianlarich won;-) There they also used to have a very nice café in the station...
