Westinghouse Transformer

Along E Bailey St just east of Ash St, Payne, Ohio.

This is the largest Westinghouse transformer I've ever seen. Taken in the small town of Payne, Ohio. There is a number 25 on the front of the transformer.

A very nice find there! That looks like an old octagon can from the 1920s. I suspect it is likely rated for 25 kVA.

Seeing transformers that old is quite uncommon on high voltage distribution. Do you think this is a 7200 V line to ground?

Matt Weldon replied to Power Lines:

Thanks. I don't know what V line this would be.

Those bushings would definitely suggest 7200V, as I saw similar on a 3-bank in Springfield.
