Beware of the cat

It's a vintage cake decoration, with the size of the cat the look on her face is understandable

To those living in the Northern Hemisphere Happy Winter Solstice

Peter Castell replied to Sonia Roosen:

I don't know anything about it I have been looking on te internet but I haven't found anything like it, I wonder if it is Victorian they had some strange idea's,a although she looks terrified I think she is supposed to be playing with the cat and it was possibly for a child's birthday cake. I hope you have a Happy Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2023 Sonia

The proportions are rather strange Peter :-) It's a lovely vintage decoration though and looks very Victorian to me. I love the expression on the girls face!

I think it may be Victorian they had some strange ideas, I have no idea where it came from, I had a look on e-bay plenty for sale but nothing like that
