A lovely close-up. I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but in Australia the 1st of August is the "standardised" birthday for all horses.

Thank you for your comment I had never heard that but looking it up in the Northern Hemisphere the birthday for all thorough bred horses is January 1st., we have both learnt something !!!
