Beautifully framed Peter. I love the ripples made by the duck and the gentle reflections. The flowers in the background look good as well. Where is this?

What a magical view of this darling ducky swimming under that beautiful bridge. Wonderful architecture and textures to enjoy there and the flowers in the background add even more interest. Very nice job, Peter!

Peter Castell replied to Janet Brien:

I tried the crop you marked it would make a nice image but unfortunately it wasn't taken with my usual camera which is having a problem sorted and the quality of the image from an old camera I was using is not good enough for such a severe crop

Janet Brien replied to Peter Castell:

OH!! So nice of you to give it a try! I sure do know what you mean about not having enough pixels to do the job. Been there. It can be frustrating, I admit. I am currently using the camera my husband bought to replace his Canon 5D (first generation) and the 5D MkIII has 22k megapixels compared to the MkII's 21k, and though it's just 1k difference, it means enough extra pixels that I can crop in more than before. A huge boon for my macro photography. I say this because my last camera (Canon Powershot SX30IS) had only 14.1mp and along with the much, much lower quality across the board, the pictures were tiny in comparison. So I sure do know where you're coming from. But...you had a camera with you to get that picture and it's lovely! So nice that you could take the picture in the first place, eh? :D TY for the reply, Peter! :)
