The detail is superb Keith. It's beautifully framed and the yellow leaves look beautiful and are a good contrast. I can almost hear the crunch of the fallen leaves as you walk amongst them!

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thanks Rosa. Sadly the "crunch" of fallen leaves is more like a "squelch" lately..!!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, just look at all of the forest goodies! :D What fun it is to find these pictures as we stroll around. You found a perfect group that shows at least 3-4 leaf species and also the wonderful spiny pods, which I can't remember the name of...the two yellowed maple leaves in two sizes are wonderful. You have me remembering my day in Medford but also my zillions of walks while out on our trip--so many grand leaves littering the trail and either side. Heh...I remember one time, staring up into a tree for opportunities, whilst at the same time a most outraged squirrelly whirrly sat on a branch near by, barking obscenities at me and I couldn't stop cackling because they are just so funny and I can't help but picture that fluffy little body jiggling with each bark! ROFLMAO...too much fun...did I tell you that a squirrel ACTUALLY dropped a nut on me one day?! LOL, RUDE!!! :D Sorry, I can only cackle at them and they want me to be horrified, lololol.. :D

Have a great day!

These brilliant yellow leaves glook wonderful against the brown leaves and chestnut husks. Their shapes are highlighted too and they are in perfect juxtaposition. I love detail shots like this.

I'm not admitting to anything..............but I might have put the yellow leaves in place myself :-))

Yes, I see a lot of these leaves too but they are looking a bit sorry for themselves now. Great shot.

Keep safe. Herb

Getting near the end of the Autumnal shots now Keith, those leaves still remaining have really taken on a strong colour like these. I have been looking at this for quiet a while and come to the conclusion that probably like fingerprints each leaf from a tree will be unique and have it's own identity. Good shot indeed.

Thanks very much for your lovely comments etc.

I still have a few autumnal images to post, but the yearly display is pretty much over in my part of the UK and what leaves are left are being quickly blown away by the high winds we've been having. Just the sweeping up to do.........especially in my garden :-))
