Chichester Ship Canal

Taken yesterday afternoon. Chichester Cathedral in the far background.

Shooting in the middle of the day in bright sunshine was not ideal especially when I had forgotten to reset my iso from 400 back to the native 200, which didn't help with the brightness :-))

It was quite busy along the towpath, but everyone was being sensible and polite and following the social distancing rules. There is a small café in the canal basin which was open for take away food and drink - which meant we were obligated to have coffee and cake before the drive home :-)

You're not the only one to forget to change iso's but you got a beautiful result just the same. I like the water surface with the reflections and the ripples. Nice too that the spire is reflected. Coffee and cakes ? Sounds like a lovely day out.

What a lovely view, Keith! Love the angle, the cathedral and the beautiful blue sparkly water. Nice framing of greenery too. I enjoyed reading about your little adventure, how nice that you could get out and not worry too much about folks being reasonable. I don't know what it's like where you live but we've run into more than enough "mask rebels" out there who are only too happy to share their opinion on social distancing and covering their faces. UGH!

So nice to see this picture, thank you for sharing it with us! :D

Lots of people use the canal for kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding etc. In fact I've just posted some images of them taken the same day as this one.

Thanks for stopping by Jean Paul. Take care.
