Red coat

I always like the view down this lane - the line of lamp-posts, the cobbles, the crow-stepped gables and the wonky roof lines of the old cottages. I was standing admiring how the snow enhanced it even further, despite the greyish day, when this young woman walked into shot in a postcard-perfect red coat.

I don't know Linlithgow. I wish I did!
I suppose Rabbit is in bed recovering from his cold arse! Please wish him better for me!

Thank you!
I'll be sure to do so!
Even though I have not once set foot in North East England nor Eastern Scotland, I am fascinated by both areas and I don't know why!

I just love cobbled streets like this, and the stepped gable ends of the rooves. That is typical in Fife too. The red coat adds that special touch

Gorgeous with the snow and the crowsteps. I never think of Linlithgow as hilly so it given me a fresh perspective.

Rabbitroundtheworld replied to Jean:

yes, the High St is pretty much on the level, but there are steep little wynds and lanes running off it, and much of the newer housing climbs up the hill to the south.

Jean replied to Rabbitroundtheworld:

I remember that hill. A friend of mine used to work at a fish farm somewhere up that hill.

The gables look so typically scottish, a perfect view with the red coat as an execatcher! I've only visited the castle once, many years ago, but haven't seen anything of the town.

Hope to see you here again one day!
