Battered by Storm Eunice

Taken using my zoom lens at 105mm from a safe and secure vantage point. Detail isn't great but it shows how Southsea Common near the Hoverport has turned into a lake and the cafe on the front has had a real pounding from angry seas. No fence today (it would have blown away anyway!!) :) For those affected by this weather, I hope you are all safe.

I wondered if you'd be out for a look-see today...............I'm pleased you took a long lens and stayed safely away from the shore. I did think about it, but basically I've been lazy and stayed home.

This is a super shot Ed...........it really shows the power of the storm, especially the waves. Have a good weekend.

A great capture and I give you credit for not venturing nearer to get even more action. I saw a scene on the news whilst this was going on with many photographers chancing life and equipment to get closer to a raging sea pier with gigantic waves.

Cheers. Herb

I'm glad to know that you weren't foolhardy while getting this photos of Storm Eunice. We were in Cromer the day before the storm hit. The sea didn't look to rough, but the gusts almost knocked me off my feet a couple of times. It was tiresome to see some idiots putting their lives and those of others in danger.
