F-word

The Sunday Challenge = begins with an F
AND the twist, must be b-w and a very close up shot, go with whatever you have!

This is a classic radio, sixty years old, make Blaupunkt, model Florenz; no transistors, but good old audion tubes. It fascinated me as a child, I've kept it over the years, it took me years to understand florenz (not floveng..) was the German word for Florence.
They still sell on eBay, you can see how they look like here
Van Morrison gives a perfect description in his song "In The Days Before Rock'n'Roll" including the sounds you hear when tuning in to the next station.....

Oh, this is just so cool! As a German I had no trouble reading Florenz at first sight though I think the younger generations would struggle with the "z";-)

Ah great choice Luc, glad you put the link to see what they used to look like in their entirety. They sure do have a nice vintage look. :) Wonderful detail.
