Herring Gull

Are you listening to me.
These Gulls have become such a problem here in Dublin and especially where I live In a coastal village there is now great pressure to have them culled. The noise they make is terrible starting at 4 Am. They are also attacking children for whatever they are eating.

I was once told to stop feeding gulls at the seaside. I agreed, I told the fellow complaining I had found a place a mile away where I can feed them without the travelling :) I must admit I love to watch gulls and photograph them in flight.

The situation is similar in a lot of seaside towns here in the south of England Tess.

Such a lovely shot and it's a pity that these birds cause such problems. I tend to believe what Betty writes and that we take away a lot of space from other species. We have to get creative to find new ways of coexisting I guess.
