Ahwahnee Hotel
Ansel Adams earned a modest living as a stage performer in the Ahwahnee Hotel in the late 1920s before he became famous for his photography. Ansel was a man of many talents although I am grateful that he found his true calling - photography. His photos of the natural beauty of the West served to garner public support for the preservation of such areas within the National Parks system.
This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and SMC PENTAX 67 1:4 45mm lens and 82mm Tiffen UV filter using Fuji 400-H film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
