Rock Monster
It has been seven and a half years since that fateful day . . .
Nash and I were hiking up a trail to an enchanted dwarf cypress forest on Carson Ridge when suddenly a vicious rock monster, lured by the tie-dye shirt, lunged through the ground's surface and grabbed Nash, attempting to swallow him whole. Without thinking, I grabbed my camera and shouted, "Smile!!" - and, when the monster complied, Nash scrambled to safety.
We continued our journey, now wary of the formidable mythical beings that exist within the fringes of these magical woods.
