Uplands

The highlands of Zion National Park along the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway demonstrate the resilience of life under extreme conditions. Somehow, hardy trees and shrubs eek out an existence anchored to the solid rock formations.

This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 1:4.5/75mm lens with a HOYA 82mm HMC Y[K2] filter using Rollei RPX 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Thank you for your kind words.
