TSC: Moms, and vertical

Saw 2 bears Saturday, I was tickled.. haven't seen any in years and I see 2, about 15 km apart. I was snapping away and then thought right.. go vertical! I would have liked a bit more powerful lens. I watched this guy-girl for a very long time, he dug up roots, ate, peed.. and roamed around and just put on a show for me.Thank you Mr Bear!
I do hope everyone had a happy mothers day! I dedicate this to my Mom who passed 7 years ago, almost to the day. She was always our protector!

Good catch! =)

This vertical composition challenge works very well here. And in general I like how the challenge opened my eyes to see things from totally different point of view.

We don't go outside that often to find bears roaming around either, Wendi! ;-)
A lovely sentiment expressed in the words. I expect your Mum had helped you with the challenge.

Mums are like that, always have been and always will be. Nicely put together as a way to honor your mum. Thanks for sharing your encounter with the bear and your words of tribute. :) xx

Shuttering Yukon replied to Wierd Folkersma:

all bears are dangerous, black-brown bears are more of a vegetarian, grizzly bears however are not, they are far more unpredictable. We always joke when we see see bear poo.."is there flannel in it?" if there is it's a grizzly poop and he just ate a human!

Great picture. I would not like to see one whilst out walking! I watched the revenant film the other day and the bear attack scene was horrific!!
