If I lived here, I'd be out as often as possible with a camera, Wendi. This is my sort of climate and my sort of scenery. Mother earth is so gloriously unspoiled here.

Spring seems to be arriving even in your neck of the woods!
I agree with Amelia, I love that sort of climate:-) Every time I come back from holidays in the north I realize just how polluted our air is.

Shuttering Yukon replied to Gudrun:

we have clean fresh air and water you can drink right out of it's source (except in spring, too much swan poop)

wonderful display of Mother Earth presenting us with another example of why we must fight to keep our environment safe ... we're seeing far too many areas consumed by "progress" with little if any concern for its effect. xx

Shuttering Yukon replied to Clickity Click:

all our in town areas are protected, there will not be any development. This is taken from a 5 km paved walking trail around the river, it's just a big loop with 2 bridges one for cars and the other just bikes and people.

Both beautiful shots Wendi, though if I had to choose between them I'd probably go for the one in the Notes if only because it makes me think of Spring as opposed to Winter - lol! :)

Shuttering Yukon replied to autofantasia:

too bad you couldn't have seen this a few weeks ago, it's all relevant, you think it looks like winter and I see glorious spring... in the Yukon this is spring.. the waters are turning to a liquid instead of a solid! Next winter I promise I will get you a shot of this expanse of white frozen river.

Shuttering Yukon replied to Chrissy:

Thank you Chrissy, I think it's beautiful too, I think that's is all that keeps me here. There is a lot of drugs and homeless people here now, there has been 3 murders in the last week.
