A story of life and death, written in snow.

Life for an eagle, that received a much needed meal (the wingspan that you see is 5 feet across), and death for the rabbit or marmot that was unable to outrun its fate.

The story was written up a steep slope above the trail, and this chapter ends where the eagle took flight with its prey. To land again below the trail, move further down the slope, and leave little but traces of fur and bloodstained snow to mark the feast.
